Gearing Up For Brandcation #4 – Blog Cabin – 80′s Party

In just 35 days I will be packing up and heading North to join 33 of my favorite bloggers for our fourth Brandcation Event – Blog Cabin – in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.  As usual, Trisha, Blondie, Kim, and I have worked countless hours getting everything ready for three full days of fun.  On Saturday night we will be throwing a huge 80′s party – complete with all of the Rubix Cubes, Slap Bracelets, and Madonna anthems you can imagine.

Since our event is in October, it made it easy to find an 80s costume with all of the Halloween Costumes on sale.  We of course hit up Party City first – since it is local and often has everything we need for… well, a PARTY. Plus with Party City Coupons we get the best price without having to chase stuff down all over town.

I have not yet decided which costume I want – but one thing is for sure – big hair, blue eyeshadow, bows, and a crimper will all be involved.  I’ve also gone into the attic to find all of my old cassette tapes… now I have to find a boombox to play them on…

I am as excited about the games we are playing than I am the costumes and music.  I do not want to blow the surprise, but I suggest my Brandcation girls brush up on their 80s song lyrics.   You may also want to work on your drawing skills for when we bust out with a round of Pictionary where we will use an online stopwatch to keep the times fair.

I think I am even more excited about the Blog Cabin Brandcation #4 as I have been the other three events – and most of that is because of this 80s party.  Nothing makes me happier than the idea of being surrounded by girlfriends, sipping Kamikazes, rockin out to some “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” in an eight bedroom Mountain Lodge Log Cabin.  It is going to be an amazing weekend!

  1. Oh, man. I’m stuck in the ’80s. So wish I could join you guys. I’ve gotta go dust off my Members Only jacket…

  2. I love the 80′s and my spiral perm. I wish I was going to be there for this!

  3. Bahaha, I could save you sooo much money–just come “shop” in my closet! Sounds like you guys will have a great time (just a little jealous, maybe I’ll get there one of these years….)

  4. I can’t wait to get down there and hang out with you and the ladies. I’m still working on my outfit, but it involves combat boots!
