After a fun Divas Night Out on Saturday night I wanted to spend some time with my Little Divas on Sunday before the craziness of the week begins again. I have been patiently waiting for Gnomeo and Juliet for several months now, so even though the weather warranted some outside play, we headed to the Rave anyway. The Tween begged asked if her friend could come with, so it turned into a group of four piled up with popcorn, Skittles, and Fanta Orange. And of course, donned with 3D Glasses:
Gnomeo and Juliet was precious – even had a few sad spots where all three girls and I had to wipe away a tear or two. There was great comedy, the characters were fantastic (I want to go get a pink flamingo yard ornament now… just sayin) and I think it was worth the $50 spent just on tickets. Yikes, I know.
We came home and still had a few hours to kill before the Grammy’s began, so we baked up some Valentine’s Day Cupcakes and spent an hour just decorating and giggling. The Tweens were never far from their cell phones, happily texting to half of the Middle School Student Body while sprinkling and icing the cupcakes … and each other. The Toddler had her Barbie phone and never missed a text either – getting mad when I “didn’t respond” when she called me. *sigh*
It was the perfect Sunday afternoon and a great way to get ready for a busy week ahead. So how do you keep Two Tweens and a Toddler happy for hours? Pillsbury’s gotcha covered.
Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!
