Last year for the Toddler’s birthday party I found a cute craft that involved clear glasses, blue Jell-o, and Swedish Fish. Since we only had a few children attending, (and the only bag of Swedish Fish I could find was HUGE) I only made a few of these awesome little “aquariums” – leaving about a half a bag of candies behind. Later that week I polished off the entire bag
in one sitting and went on the hunt for another bag. Little did I know the addiction that was about to begin.
Since that week I have discovered Swedish Fish in all of my favorite stores along the Florida-Texas commute, including all of the Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores who even have them in the multi-flavors. It has become ritualistic for me to buy two bags – they are 2 for $5 of course – and eat first all of the red ones, then the orange ones, then the yellow ones… saving the green ones for last as I do not really like those, but my addiction is so strong I will eat them anyway.
I guess it is not terrible – I can think of worse addictions – but today as I was checking out of Winn Dixie they had them right there in the checkout lane just mocking me. So here I sit, polishing off another bag.
I do not drink soda.
I do not eat cakes or cookies.
I do not smoke.
I eat Clean as often as I possibly can.
I am allowed to have one REALLY bad vice…. right?
