You put her in a place with no wifi for four days!!
I hate that I am missing March Vlogging Madness, as I was looking so forward to recording my weekend in Clearwater Florida for my cousins wedding. I am taking some video clips, but with no wifi I am unable to get anything to upload to YouTube. I guess I will give a full recap on Tuesday when I get back.
I am also missing my Divas and my Bloggy friends. It’s funny how just a year ago i was “checking out this blogging thing” and now it seems every cool thing I see, hear, or test out I can’t wait to blog about!
Today we spent the afternoon at the Sponge Docks in Palm Harbor Florida. Palm Harbor was (and probably still is) a predominately Greek community, and even though Pappas- the greatest Greek restaurant ever- is no longer there, we dined at Hellas today on Greek salads and Spanikopita. It was great to just walk up and down the docks, seeing the rows and rows of fresh sponges being brought in by the huge old boats. I think one of the things I love most about Florida is how you can spend and entire day sight seeing and being entertained without spending a penny.
We got back to my Grandmother’s house in time to cook dinner before the sun set. We read that tonight the moon was going to be huge, so we enjoyed sitting outside in the 75*+ weather watching an enormous orange moon rise. I swear I live in paradise.
Tomorrow I will watch my only cousin get married. She asked me last night if I was going to cry. I’m not a crier, so I told her no. But thinking about it now, I am not sure. My grandmother has no less than 200 pictures around her condo of Amy and I growing up. It is hard to see Amy as anything other than my “little cousin” who I remember terrorizing every summer while staying with Granny and Papa. It’s pretty amazing to realize that we are all grown up with husbands and careers and kids… My how time flies.
Anyway, I am heading to bed now, but had to “get my fix” with a quick blog (via my iPad of course) and explain my sudden disappearance. As soon as I get home I will be looking into those portable wifi thingies to make sure this never happens again! Ha!
