In the last few weeks I have learned a LOT about food. In fact most all of my struggles with my weight has been due to food… but not what you would think. Turns out that I have been eating too little… and for a very long time. The whole calories in/calories out thing… yeah, total BS. But that is a post for another day. Today I am here to tell you about one of the ways I have combat my food issues and begun losing weight – starting with breakfast.
I have never been a breakfast girl. EVER. I simply do not get hungry until hours into my day. I wake up at 5:45, get the girls ready for school, work, workout… usually I would eat some time around 10am. Well, that was until I kick started my metabolism, and now I am feeling famished within about 20 minutes of standing up. This, by the way is a sign that your metabolism is actually working.
I recently had the chance to try SmartOnes Oatmeal – a delicious, easy to make, healthy breakfast to help you kick start your day – and your metabolism. According to WebMD, 78% of their test subjects who have lost and maintained a weight loss of 30 pounds or more cite that they began each morning by eating breakfast. NOT eating breakfast leads to “starvation eating” at lunch – where most people consume more than twice what they should, simply based on hunger. This is not a good cycle.
SmartOnes Oatmeal is simple to make – just pop it in the microwave and in minutes you have breakfast to go. Now, I am one that gets weird about consistency, but I have to admit – this stuff is really good. Full disclosure – the Apples and Cinnamon was my favorite… I wasn’t real crazy about the Peaches and Cream. However Midge loved it.
SmartOnes is going even further to help others be successful with their Inspiring Smart Beginnings Sweepstakes benefiting “Dress For Success” – an organization which provides professional attire and career support for women in need. You can also enter to win a $5,000 grand prize.
