Welcome to another Living Well Wednesday hosted by Natalie from OneBusyWAHM.com! Each week we get together to chat about our goals and resolutions and stay accountable to each other. You can join in with your own blog or vlog and then link up on Natalie’s blog!
I missed last week so I have a bit of catching up to do. Last week was all of the craziness of the SOPA/PIPA crap, so I participated in the “black out” by signing the petitions and then walking away from the computer before I shed my professional skin and let a few politicians have it on how stupid that law was.
I am taking part in a Blogging Challenge with my Blogging Community – check out my video in the sidebar which was our homework for Day 1! It over there —————->
I am still doing great on the Eating Clean and now focusing on portion control, and happy to announce a five pound weight loss. That was pretty exciting this morning. Today for lunch I ate an entire sandwich because I was so busy all day I waited until I was just “starving,” and I am still so overfull I have decided to just have an apple for dinner. Note to self: Don’t be stupid and not take a break to eat at least a snack.
Business is booming with the launch of The Mind Aware Series that I have been invited to participate in. It is a HUGE honor to be asked to join such an amazing, dynamic group of coaches in my field. I am very excited about the topic – Time Management – since the most common thing I hear every day is “HOW DO YOU DO IT ALL!?!” I am excited to get to share just exactly how I run an International Training Website for Party Plan Consultants, am a full time Blogger here on MoscatoMom, Consult a handful of Party Plan Companies who need help with either their Compensations Plans or Training their Teams, have a family, go to the beach, go to the gym, have a social life, aaannndddd still manage to sleep eight hours a night 😉 Click here to check out the series – the best part is that its FREE!
Speaking of the gym I am coming along with my goal of running a 5k this year. My shin splints are still killing me, but I have figured out if I work out on the exercise bike for about 10 minutes prior, I am “warmed up” enough to jog without feeling like my legs are breaking. My bestie also tried to kill me with a kettel ball this week, but before I was finished I had fallen in love with the little thing. Since my surgery on my wrist I have had trouble with weight lifting – but for some reason this didnt bother me at all. I will be owning one before the weekend is out.
I’m very excited about some campaigns I have coming up here on MoscatoMom. This blog has grown more in a year than I ever thought it could, and with the help of some amazing women I actually feel like a “real” blogger now. I have had my business blog for several years, but I would go to Blogging Events joking that I “wasnt a real blogger”…. I am very proud of where MoscatoMom is now and looking very forward to an amazing 2012.
I cant finish this post without mentioning one bad thing that has happened this week – and that is my friend Bobbie being in a bad car accident on her way home from the Kenmore Summit in Chicago last weekend. She is Ok, but will have a lot of recovering ahead of her as her ankle was shattered. I want more than anything to just drive to Wisconsin and help take care of her – and I am not putting it totally out of my mind as an option – but while she is in the hospital I know there isnt much I can do. But I can continue to ask for continued prayers for both her and her husband Travis. He too was injured, though not as severely. He is still worried sick about his wife. Hopefully he will be released from the hospital on Saturday to be home with their children, who were unharmed but are understandably still shaken from the accident and seeing both Mom and Dad badly hurt. So if you pray, please pray. If you meditate, please think of them. If you light a candle, please light a couple of them. They are such a precious family they deserve all of our love and support and thoughts.
How was your week?
