I am SO excited. Friday night Mike and I went to dinner with my best friend and her long time fiance. I knew something was up with the way she was acting. Finally after the appetizer she exploded – “We picked a date!!” The next two hours was full of squeals and excitement as we talked about times and locations and pictures…
Now, Mike and I are not married, and have no plans to get married in the foreseeable future, but it is hard to resist daydreaming about your own wedding while helping your best friend plan hers.
The first thing I start to daydream about is designer engagement rings… like the ones from Since1910.com. You can literally design your own ring from picking the metal to the setting to the stone. Since I love antique jewelry, the Tacori Collection is my favorite, in white gold or platinum with a round or emerald stone….or that beautiful Simon G Pave White & Pink Diamond Engagement Ring…. *sigh*
My Best Friend’s fiance did a really great job in picking her diamond engagement rings out out, I have to admit. Impressively enough she did not help one bit, as he surprised her with the proposal. Romantic, right? He’s such a great guy!
Now, I am not one who will say that EVERY engagement ring is beautiful, as I still get a giggle at the ring my exhusband picked for his new bride (and no, it has nothing to do with how I feel able the wedding… it really is an ugly ring) but every page I went through on Since1910.com is truly, uniquely beautiful.
The date my Best Friend picked is just a few months away, so we are getting right to work on all of the details. It’s great to get to live vicariously through her and be a big part of planning her wedding… soooo much less stress than planning my own! Ha!
Next week we tackle the second biggest obstacle in a wedding… the wedding DRESS! I can’t wait to go shopping and see my Best Friend in all of those beautiful gowns! Thinking we might need to go to Atlanta for the “Say Yes To The Dress”… why not right!?!
Maybe someday I will be picking out my own engagement rings and dress and flowers and stuff…but for now I am celebrating getting to pick out my own PINK Maid of Honor dress!
