Tomorrow, April 30, 2015, millions of people will be participating in Pay It Forward Day – a day dedicated to kindness and doing positive things in your community. I have joined the movement and I want to encourage you to do the same!
Pay It Forward Day falls on the last Thursday in April of each year. It is a celebration and reminder that all people, from all walks of life can embrace the power of giving to make a positive difference.
While the idea of “Pay It Forward” is one we should strive to embody every day, Pay It Forward Day is used to remind the world that giving and caring individuals can make the global community a brighter place.
During the holidays I participated in the #OneAct movement and it was fantastic. Even the girls got in on the action when we did simple things like paid for the car behind us in line at Starbucks, paid for an elderly woman’s entire cart of groceries, bought gifts for the giving tree, and helped a new mom get her groceries in to the car while her tiny little infant needed some cuddling. It was such a feel good lesson for the girls, and I admit – a lesson for me as well. I am excited to spend tomorrow in the same spirit and will be tagging my friends from the last challenge to do the same.
Consider this me “tagging” all of my MoscatoMom readers as well!! The goal is five million acts – and I think we can totally do it! Follow PayItForward Day on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to see all of the awesome #tagyourgive acts and join the movement simply by participating with your own pay it forward act and use the hashtag to share! I promise you will feel amazing the rest of the day! Check out PIFDayUSA.com to learn more and watch the number count grow!
