A few weeks ago I told you about the Progressive Snapshot and how this tiny little gadget can plug right into your car and save you money on your car insurance. I promised to update how it went.
I saved.
Now, remember me telling you that it was a lot like having your Drivers Ed Teacher in the car with you at all times? Yeah, THAT got really annoying. It even got to where I was like “oh yeah, she’s gonna beep at me for this one.”
Truth is I am one of those people that actually STOPS for red lights. According to my little Snapshot I should be running those babies more often. The Progressive #Snapshot would beep at me just about every time. Aren’t you supposed to stop when you are 100 feet away and the light turns yellow?
I did manage to go the entire time without accelerating too fast – which does not surprise me. I am seldom in a hurry to get anywhere when I am in the car - and it drives Mike crazy. I will happily cruise along in the right hand lane…passing people leisurely… all the while he is chewing on the dashboard with aggravation. I just don’t get in a hurry anymore.
I was surprised that I took as many road trips with it and still did very well – earning a “B” for my driving skills. I took an impromptu trip to Jacksonville for a Girls Weekend with Joy, and weekly I head over to Mobile to spend a Girls Day with Trisha. I also was on a trip where I didn’t drive all all for 5 days, so maybe that made up for it.
Either way I am excited to save even more on my Progressive Car Insurance now that I have used the Progressive Snapshot to tell them I am a good driver - even if Mike disagrees.

Impatient drivers who pull up behind you at a red light and instead of waiting like everyone else, they cut through the corner gas station parking lot. Ugh!
My biggest driving pet peeve has to be that wonderful person who is the only person in the lane next to you when you put your blinker on to get over. You know the one that somehow all of a sudden realizes they must speed up instead of letting you get over. Then they go super slow in front of you. What’s up with that?
My biggest pet peeve is when speed up because you were apparently going to slow and get in front of you only to go slow and then you have to go around them again! Gets me everytime!
Thx for this info, our insurance went up by $800 and we have been thinking about looking into changing – might give snapshot a try!

My biggest pet peeve is when there are signs way ahead of time letting drivers know to merge into a single lane, but there are always those jerk drivers who want to get in front of everyone and almost cause an accident doing last second merges.
Since I drive a little car, I’d have to say my biggest pet peeve is those drivers who think they own the road, & don’t need to look before changing lanes, turning or anything else.
Having my little car takes “defensive driving” to a whole new level!
My biggest pet peeve is when drivers block lanes and slow down all traffic, then it turns out they are on the phone.
I hate when people do something stupid like cut you off and then give you the bird or start yelling at you. You didn’t do anything wrong, they did. Weird.

My biggest pet peeve on the road is when the person in front of you slows to almost a complete stop to take a left hand turn, and completely ignores the available turn lane. I find my self screaming to my windshield, “There’s a lane for that!!!” Grr.

When someone pulls out in front of me close enough to cause me to brake…when there is nothing behind me! He could wait the few seconds for me to pass, then he’d have a clear road. Grrrr!

Well I have many *cough, cough* pet peeves but I have to say I have gotten better with some of them but one that still urks me is people that do not use their turn signals specially coming into my neighborhood bc it is such a pain in the booty to get out of my neighborhood. Listen people, they weren’t put on vehicles for decoration, they were meant to use so use them! Ok, that is all, end of rant…lol.
I do have quite a few pet peeves when it comes to driving, but I must say, the one that makes my blood boil is when I see a care full of youngins toodling along and the grown up driver is puffing on a cigarette!!

So glad you saved. I tried and didn’t. LOL. I just drive too much. My biggest pet peeve is impatient drivers. I wish they’d just leave earlier to get where they want, when they want. I am not risking my life or my kids or my car just cuz they’re in a rush!
