When I bought my brand new car last year I knew I wanted THE BEST insurance I could find. With my Explorer I had cheap insurance and anytime I needed anything done it was a complete nightmare. I actually drove around for an entire year with the entire passenger side damaged from a hit and run because my old insurance denied the claim. Needless to say I was NOT going back to them.
After a lot of searching I chose Progressive, and have been super impressed with them ever since. When I got the chance to join Team Flo and test out the SnapShot to see if my rates could get even better I was excited! I was already very happy with the coverage I had from Progressive with a great premium, but saving even more sounded great.

Since I own my own business and work from home, I was excited about the idea of getting my own personalized quote based on my own driving habits. Since I do not have a work commute and very seldom am I on the road during “peak accident hours, ” not to mention I very seldom go outside of about a 5 mile radius from my house, I knew I shouldn’t be looped in to the same price as every other 32 year old driver on the road. I like the idea of paying for a plan that covers ME, and exactly what *I* need.
I received the Snapshot and plugged it in last week. It was easy to install – I actually asked for Mike’s help thinking it would be difficult but I didn’t need him at all and it plugged right in. It made a little beepy sound and an orange light started to blink. I knew I was ready to roll.
Having the Progressive Snapshot in my car has felt a bit like having my old Driver’s Ed teacher with me – the few times I have had to slam on brakes it has beeped its disapproval. 🙂 But, so far I am still getting a “B” which is going to save me even more on my car insurance – that’s exciting. (Even if the B gives Mike one more reason to pick on me for my driving…)
I will update more and let you know how much I end up getting to save after my 30 days of using the Progressive Snapshot and what my “final grade” ends up being. If you want to save money on your car insurance from Progressive you can sign up here.
