Hello, my name is Lynsey, and I am addicted to my Silhouette Cameo.
On New Year’s Eve I was perusing Amazon looking for a tax write off new business tool for Party Plan Divas. I remembered when a friend of mine cut some vinyl to personalize her little marketing tools, so I thought I could try my hand at doing the same. After some research I decided on the Silhouette Cameo and ordered the full bundle at a great price.
I had no idea what I was getting myself in to.
First of all, if you are trying to decide between a Silhouette and a Cricut, I highly recommend the Silhouette Cameo. It is nice and small and connects to your computer and lets you cut literally anything – no cartridges needed. It cuts everything from vinyl to cardstock to felt fabric – and that is just what I have tried so far. You can even replace the blade with a pen and it will sketch – and there is some way you can make it lay rhinestones… though I havent figured that part out yet.
The first thing I made was cups for the girls. The Teen collects frogs and Midge collects penguins.

Then my friend Tina wanted a cup for Mardi Gras…

And next of course was the family…

And before you know it the Divas got involved…

But I didnt stop there…. Midge needed a Valentine’s Day mailbox…

And of course you we can’t just BUY Valentine’s Day cards for everyone… noooo…. not now that we have a Silhouette Cameo…

Pretty much everything with a flat surface is getting tagged at this point, and Mike said he is afraid to leave the house now because he is scared he will come home and every single thing in the house will have a name on it… I mean… even the cat food container wasn’t safe. In my defense, you never want to mix up the cat food container with a regular container in your kitchen… AmIRight…..? Hello…?

So yeah…. I am pretty much to the point of needing a 12 step program at this point. But hey, at least now I will always know which glass at the party is mine!!

I win.

I love the wine glass. I now want one of those!
So stinking cute! Need to get my order in for the skin care diva!!!
I still want a cave girl diva one!!
I’m so jealous of your latest obsession but I LOVE checking out your handiwork. Seriously impressive.
I love it! I’ve been thinking about purchasing a Cricut for a long time, but since you’ve been posting and sharing all your designs and projects using the Silhouette!!! I’ve changed my mind. I want a Silhouette!!!! Especially since you don’t need cartridges!
I’m going to show your glasses to my daughter because I bought that machine for her last year. She’ll love this idea; thanks!
That is one cool tool! I need one of those. Nothing would be safe around our home after I got one.
These are all so cute! I’ve never used either of these machines or have any idea how too, but now I’m inspired by how easy you make it sound and how adorable everything you made is that I’d love to give it a try sometime.
Those are the cutest cups!!
I have been seeing your posts on Facebook and I love everything! I really need to get myself a Cameo – it seems like fun to play with! When are you going to start taking orders?
HA – I already am LOL http://www.DivaTumblers.com
Very fun! I have a Cricut and I love it BUT it’s very loud and almost impossible to use when my kiddo is napping. Can you tell me if this is relatively quiet or loud also?
It is kinda loud – depending on what I am cutting. The vinyl seems louder than the cardboard. However both of my girls sleep soundly in the next room
Awww… I love the “Wickless Diva” you’ve got posted on your website!!! =D
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have one! I’ve been dying to label everything I possibly can in my house! One day….. : )
