Ever since I quit smoking 6 years ago, I have been hooked on chewing gum daily. And with having two daughters – one of which is 13 years old – gum is a STAPLE in our household. So when Trident sent me a YEARS SUPPLY as part of the See What Unfolds Campaign, my girls and I thought it was Christmas early!
Now, I am a “boring” gum chewer – pretty much I am going to choose the peppermint flavor EVERY time. My girls on the other hand love it all and were most excited to try some of the new “Trident Layers“ where they have put together some of the craziest mish-mashes of flavors you could even imagine… I mean, who thinks of blueberry and tangerine -TOGETHER?!
But… that’s what they do. Trident is known for mixing things together to “See What Unfolds” – like when Steve Aoki and Duran Duran partnered with Trident for an unforgettable surprise -
Approximately 3,000 lucky fans were treated to an evening of unexpected surprises thanks to world renowned DJ Steve Aoki, who hosted an unforgettable performance that included an appearance by legendary pop superstars Duran Duran. The defining moment of the night was a Steve Aoki produced remixed performance of the band’s classic hit, Hungry Like The Wolf, aptly named, “Hungry Like The Wolf: Steve Aoki vs. Duran Duran – The New York Werewolf Mix” that brought the house down.
To be honest, I am SUPER bummed I wasnt one of the 3,000 who got to see this #SWULive event live. (Check out about 3:15 where you see a whole new version of “crowd surfing”) I have been jamming to Duran Duran since I was a kid, and to hear this remix is awesome – I have been singing it in my head all day long since I heard it.
The See What Unfolds Campaign from Trident is about putting together spontaneous, awesome, unexpected collaborations and making something amazing – like the Hungry Like The Wolf Remix or the Cool Mint and Melon flavor Layers gum. (seriously, who THINKS of this!?) I know when I think about “killer compilations” for songs my ALL TIME favorite is the ACDC/ Bon Jovi /Def Leppard/ Guns And Roses /Metallica/ Nirvana / Van Halen techno mix… it is the first song on my Gym Workout playlist and nothing gets me jamming out faster than that song… or well, compilation of songs.
