Wine & Love is the weekly meme where we all come together to just kinda share the highs and lows of our week – what has driven us to drink – either our woes or celebrations. You can link up over at WalkingWithNora.com.
Oh my gosh I can not believe it is Thursday already… ugh.
*I am SERIOUSLY lacking inspiration right now. I don’t know if it is the end of summer or just that “lull” that happens between packing up the bathing suits and prepping for the holidays…. I just don’t know. But I have just been BLAH on inspiration. I need to go out and DO something…
*I haven’t been able to run in over a week… this may explain why I feel so blah. However with the monsoon that is occurring outside as I type this, it isnt looking good that I will be able to test this theory tonight.
*School is going great for both girls and they are absolutely loving it. And as much as I am not enjoying getting up so early, I am enjoying the schedule and structure that comes with the school year.
*Dad is doing better health-wise. He had a checkup today after the “scare” a few weeks back and is doing much better. That of course is a huge relief to all of us.
*Italian Night is tomorrow!! Monthly my besties and I get together for a big dinner party and tomorrow night is Italian Night. I will of course be making Dad’s famous home made spaghetti sauce. Christy is making a white sauce, Mary is bringing desserts (cannolis!!!) and Kristy is getting the salad. I am going to steam up a bunch of different kinds of veggies to throw into the white sauce as well… kinda like an alfredo buffet! I even picked up a couple bottles of Flip Flop Moscato for the occasion! We will be in a carb coma by 9pm I am so sure…
*I’ve gotten in some awesome products to review, with even more on the way. I love doing reviews and giveaways – especially the closer we get to the holidays.
*It’s Date Night tonight with the hubbly. Thinking about going to see I Don’t Know How She Does It, but honestly fearful I will cry. The reviews are… well, “mixed” at best, but I think that until someone has really walked in the shoes of someone who tries to “do it all,” they might not understand the emotions that come with it. As a recovering workaholic, I am not sure whether this movie will inspire me or make me want to drink copious amounts of wine.
*A New ‘Do! I spent my morning at Trends Salon in the hands of the amazing Tina and went from blonde back to brown, with some fabulous streaks and highlights. It’s a big change – will take a day or two to get used to – but this look is much more natural, and much more manageable, especially as things get crazier as we near the holidays.
I think that’s it! What are your Wines and Loves this week?
