Mike and I are *thisclose* to celebrating our 5th anniversary together. Seems so hard to believe it has been that long. And every year we set New Years Resolutions together – 99% of which have been about money and business… and even better 99% of which we have achieved. (high five babe) Anyway this year we decided to make a New Years Resolution about our relationship, and focus more on each other than our careers. For two workaholics, this is a big deal.
So this year we have resolved to go on those family vacations we have talked about, to be more strict with our weekly date nights, to be spontaneous and take off for a romantic getaway at least once a quarter, and to practice in general just putting each other first. We did great the first few years, but we realized we have really let life and work get in the way. This year we want to bring it back down and focus on us, our family, and where we want to go from here. And of course, I plan on talking about it all right here on MoscatoMom.
So this is fair warning – it’s about to get mushy up in here.
We are kicking off our first family vacation of 2014 by heading down to Cape Coral Florida to visit the brand new Cape Coral Westin Resort at Marina Village this weekend. I am not sure if I am more excited about the nearly 80* temperatures or the incredible amenities of the resort, all of which the four of us are going to get to enjoy.
2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 were incredible years where we have grown to be better versions of ourselves independently. 2014 is the year we learn to grow into better version of ourselves together. It’s going to be a good year.
