Mike and I are incredibly lucky – we have a scheduled date night every single week. The girls go to their Dads one night a week and since the very beginning of our relationship, we dubbed that as “Date Night.” Now here we are nearly five years later, still having our regularly scheduled date night each week. There are two problems that we have run in to over the last 5 years of these weekly dates however – doing “dinner and a movie” every week is not only expensive, but it has gotten monotonous and boring. So I was excited to get a chance to try out a new SmartPhone App – 52 Great Cheap Dates – from OceanHouse Media.
Looking for a great idea for an inexpensive date? 52 Great Cheap Dates is a playfully-illustrated card deck app where you’ll find an assortment of fun, creative activities that won’t challenge your budget. A little imagination, the right attitude and a delightful companion is all that’s required to enjoy this app!
The 52 Great Cheap Dates app is a lot of fun to use. You can “spin” the cards to choose which you want to do and simply tap to open for your instructions. They ideas are simple – but things we honestly never would have thought about. Other things we have done – but never would have thought to make it a “date” – like I have gone on nature walks around the city, but never thought Mike would care to do anything like that. However when I asked him to, we ended up spending two hours exploring the old nature trails on UWF – something I haven’t done in years.
52 Great Cheap Dates is available on iTunes for $.99 and includes 52 different activities, perfect for afternoon adventures, serious seductions and romantic rendezvous. You can even email the cards to friends. I like sending them to Mike for ideas of what to do every week. It has really put the “fun” back in to our weekly dates.
