A few weeks ago I was perusing around the mall and found a REALLY cute pair of jeans… two sizes smaller than I am now. They are in fact the size that I want to be by the time my birthday rolls around in July. Normally, I would pass them up, frown and think how I wish they fit now, and head to the food court for a pretzel to drown my sorrows with, LOL just kidding. (well, kinda)
Anyways, this time I bought them. I bought them because I BELIEVE I am going to be wearing them on my birthday. I needed a visual representation of my goal, that I can LOOK AT every day. Between these jeans, Eating Clean, and Living Well Wednesday I just know I will reach my goal this time!!
Now, before you start telling me I shouldnt try to lose two sizes in 7 months, let me just say that I am really losing a size and a half, since I am kinda between sizes right now. Plus the WAY my clothes fit is more important to me honestly than what the scale says – so it is more a task of reshaping and toning more so than “losing.”
Today I discovered that I am not alone in buying or having “Goal Jeans,” when I read my friend Tanya's Facebook status where she mentioned having “Goal Jeans to get into.” Curious, I Googled it, and found hundreds of thousands of blog posts, videos, and images of women talking about their Goal Jeans. Really, how cool is that?
So do you have Goal Jeans? And how many sizes smaller are they than what you wear now?

Ugh. I HATE jean shopping! I am envious of you. I am yet to find my dream pair of jeans and I have tried on hundreds of pairs. I would LOVE to have some gorgeous goal jeans that just slip on and look good.

I don’t have goal jeans – I have a goal figure suit! LOL! I totally want to compete in 8 months and that will mean dropping about 8 pounds.
I don’t think dropping 1.5 pant sizes is bad! I think writing or “owning” your goal is very realistic! Whether you have a pic on your fridge or those jeans out in the open for you to stare and think “I can do it!”
That said, I still own my fat jeans. LOL. The biggest pair of jeans I ever owned are in my closet. I used to slip them on and off thinking how happy I am not to be that size. Now, as a mom I don’t have that time, but they are still there as a reminder of what I don’t want to be.
BTW, there are the cutest jeans at EXPRESS right now. I fell in love, although I didn’t have the $$$ to buy them…
And American Eagle is having a sale on jeans – super prices. I even sent DH there to get a pair for himself. I bought shorts.
Happy slimming!

I don’t have goal jeans. Actually, as part of Living Well Wednesday, I have gotten rid of all my smaller sized jeans and clothes that I was hanging onto in the hopes I would lose weight again. But, I decided that if and when I do lose weight, I will reward myself with some new jeans!

I had a friend who made a goal timeline of sorts on her wall. She literally nailed different rewards to her wall, including her goal jeans!! When she reached her set weight/goal for each, she was allowed to take them down and use them. Not that I want to nail my rewards to my wall, but I think have the visual reminder every time she walked into the room, was a GREAT motivator!!

How the goal jeans coming along?
I have some, only because I’ve gained quite a bit of weight the last 1.5 years due to a new medication. I cannot wait to get back into my favorite ‘goal’ jeans again.
