Now, that holidays are over and the New Year has begun, life as we know it is getting back to “normal.” We are back to a schedule, have a normal daily routine, and things are back to running much more smoothly - which is a very good thing since we are just a few weeks away from our busiest season both with business and running the coffee shop. Soon our days will be on the go from about 5am to after 10pm - only to get up and do it again the very next day.
Things get so busy for us this time of year, we have to make sure to put in the extra effort to remember to nurture our relationship so we do not grow apart with all of our rushing around. That is why I was excited to participate in a campaign with the new K-Y® LOVE Sensuality Pleasure Gel and K-Y® LOVE Passion Pleasure Gel to encourage everyone to remember to make time for your partner, even when life gets busy.
These KY® products help to reignite the spark between you and your loved one. There are two to choose from - K-Y® LOVE Sensuality Pleasure Gel and K-Y® LOVE Passion Pleasure Gel- both of which heighten the excitement and help you feel closer and more connected to each other. These products are available at your local Walmart in the Health and Beauty section.

Mike and I are just as guilty as any other couple of getting caught up in our “to do” list and not making enough time for one another - and every time our relationship suffers for it. Life just gets so busy! We wake up early, spend 16 hours rushing around, only to fall into the bed exhausted - and then do it all again the next day.
The problem with being “back on schedule” is that it leaves little time for much else. And if I/we do not schedule time together, inevitably we end up… well, not.
When Mike and I first met, we spent time together on the nights the girls were with their dads. Thursday night became our “date night” - and nearly seven years later we have only missed a handful of date nights together. However, I have to admit… most of those missed date nights have been recently. In an attempt to break the pattern of missing our date nights and bring back our “spark” in 2016, I made us a Date Night Jar - with 52 Date Night Ideas that we can choose from. I am really happy with how it turned out, and Mike loved it! It was super simple to make, only took a few minutes, and I got everything I needed while I was at Walmart. It is a great way to keep the love going throughout the New Year.

Date Night Jar
Supplies
- Glass jar - found in the floral section
- Colored popsicle sticks - found in the kids arts and crafts section
- Black permanent marker

Begin by writing out your favorite Date Night Ideas with the marker on each popsicle stick. I have given you a list of 52 ideas - but think about some personal ones too. Maybe revisit where you had your first date or include something that is special to you and your honey.

Then, carefully cut out the jar wrapper, and using tape, affix it to your jar about halfway down. Voila! You are all set with 52 date ideas for when you need some inspiration!

This time of year is busy with everyone getting back to normal after the holiday season - and it is only going to get busier as the year progresses. But what really matters most in life is our relationships. Before we know it those long Summer days will be upon us, and it is important to make sure to prioritize our partners every season throughout the year.

My kids are still young and my parents aren't able to babysit too often, so date nights are rare for us... but I really like the idea of putting together a list of ideas that we can go to on those special nights together! #client
