So Trisha has kinda gotten on a roll with this Blog Carnival thing and issued yet another topic for all of us to write about. I notice they all have a “Getting To Know You” feel to them – first the Five Things You Would Learn From My House and then What’s In Your Fridge. Today’s topic is Five Things I Couldnt Live Without On a Daily Basis. It was tough narrowing it down to five.
1. Insulated cups.
Back in May I purchased 3 boxes of these babies with the intention of giving them to my Condo Mates at Brandcation. But then Tervis – the best insulated cup manufacturer in the WORLD – became one of our swag sponsors, so I put my boxes in the closet thinking I would take them back… weeelllll…. I didnt.
You will not see me without one of these in my hand or at least at arms reach. In fact, they are kinda taking over the house. Like… I have two one my desk right now- one with green tea and the other with water. There is also one in my car, one on my night stand, one on the kitchen counter…it drives Mike crazy.
2. Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm
I think I may be addicted to this stuff. It is absolutely amazing. I put it on all day every day. BUT – my lips always feel amazing. I went all Winter without them feeling chapped at all. I like how it gives just a little bit of color and shine – honestly I wear this in lieu of lipstick or anything else. I have also used the Shimmer Sticks and love them as well – I keep them in my purse. They give a little more color and tingle a bit when I put them on.
3. My iPhone 4s and Lifeproof Case
I have always been the one to have the “latest and greatest” cell phone. Since the Palm Pilot days I have always done so much business on my cell I wonder how anyone ever owned a business without a Smart Phone. From Palm Pilots to HTCs to a Blackberry, I thought nothing could ever top my Blackberry Curve…. then I met the iPhone.
I have a total love affair with my iPhone 4s – Siri and I are good friends. The Lifeproof case keeps her safe – even though I have only ever dropped her one time *knock on wood* but also lets me take her to the beach and the pool with no worries. I do not play games on my iPhone though – I think I am the only person I know that does not have any games at all downloaded and still has 5 pages of Apps…
4. My Laptop
As much as I love my iPhone, it will never replace my laptop – especially my new HP 2000 that in just 2 short weeks I have fallen madly in love with. My Toshiba has had a good run for the last 5 years, but it was time for a new one. I actually went to Office Depot to get my mother a laptop, and ended up walking out with one for her AND one for me.
The HP 2000 has a built in webcam, which even though it is not as good as my LifeCam on quality – it certainly rocks the convenience factor. Plus with this computer having so much more memory, uploading to YouTube takes literally seconds when the other computer would take sometimes a half an hour. Plus it is so QUIET… my poor little Toshiba fan sounded like a crop duster…
5. My Toothbrushes
Yes, that is plural on purpose. I am a bit neurotic when it comes to dental hygiene. I think it stems from my days with braces where I was absolutely terrified I would get something caught in them and be grinning like an idiot with everyone else ready to gag.
I began carrying a toothbrush in my purse and brushing every chance I got… after 18 months of braces and another 6 months of retainers, the habit definitely stuck. Though I am not quite as OCD about it as I once was, I am still a bit fanatical. I am also fanatical about OTHER people’s dental hygiene, and can get grossed out in a heartbeat when I realize someone hasn’t brushed their teeth recently. And yeah, I can pretty much look at you and tell you exactly when the last time was. I know, its awful. I am the same way with washing hair…
There are other things on my list of “Things I Cant Live Without” – like my Blogging Planner, Makeup, Arbonne lotion, Intuition Razor, hairbrush…
What are 5 things you can’t live without?
