Happy New Year! Like many, one of my New Year's Resolutions is to head back to the gym and get back on track with my health and fitness goals. While I did reach my weight loss goals in 2017, I have resolved to make 2018 the year I focus less on the scale and more on my strength and endurance. When I had the opportunity to check out the new BODYARMOR SuperDrink which offers premium hydration at a fraction of the calories of most sports drinks, I knew this was the perfect opportunity for me to pack up my gym bag with all of my "must haves" and head back to the gym.

My biggest concern with BODYARMOR LYTE was the taste - because let's face it... if it doesn't taste good, do the rest of the details even matter? I was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the BODYARMOR LYTE SuperDrink - so many sports drinks are so sweet I feel like I almost need to dilute them down. BODYARMOR LYTE is made with all natural sweeteners and had just the right amount of sweetness to make it refreshing and easy to drink - even between sets. The new BODYARMOR LYTE has all of the nutrients of the original BODYARMOR but with only 20 calories per serving! The Peach Mango was my favorite!

Must-Have Gym Bag Essentials

Every morning I pack my gym bag with my "must haves" for a great workout to look and feel my best - both at the gym and after. Here is my list of gym bag essentials:

A Great Set of Earbuds

Crank your favorite tunes or listen to your favorite podcast while getting your sweat on. I searched and searched to find a good pair that could handle a rigorous workout and not bounce out while on the elliptical!

A Small Towel

Most gyms will have paper towels - but I prefer my own little towel. I use microfiber towels because they are absorbent and super soft on your skin.

Makeup Remover Wipes

While I am not the girl who purposefully wears makeup to the gym, there are times I have to go after a meeting instead of before. I always remove my makeup before I start my workout to avoid problems with my skin - but also because I do not want to look like my face is melting.

Travel Size Shampoo, Conditioner, Deodorant and Body Wash

I love the travel size section of every store and trying out all of the new products! They are perfect for tossing into my gym bag and then throwing away when I am finished or if I love it, I will buy the full size and refill my little bottles over and over again.

Hairbrush and Hair Ties

There is nothing worse than trying to work out with your hair smacking you in the face - or trying to get a brush through your hair afterward. I found a great hairbrush mirror combo at my local dollar store that I wrap several hair ties around every morning and toss into my bag.

Protein Packed Snacks

Never fails - when I leave the gym I am ravenous for something to eat - and I often have to head straight to pick up Midge from school. Instead of driving through the nearest fast food joint and completely defeating all of the work I have done, I pay my snacks well ahead of time to help me make good choices. My favorite is my Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Balls. These little guys do not require baking and can be ready in about an hour. I make a big batch of them each week and then toss a few in a bagging in my gym bag every day. They are packed with protein and just the right amount of sweetness and they go perfectly with my BODYARMOR LYTE drink. Scroll down for the recipe.

Plenty of Hydration

This is where the BODYARMOR LYTE SuperDrink comes in. BODYARMOR LYTE is packed with electrolytes, coconut water, and vitamins that you need for a great workout. BODYARMOR is the brand of choice for many athletes such as James Harden, Mike Trout, Dustin Johnson, Andrew Luck, Richard Sherman, Dez Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Buster Posey, Skylar Diggins - superstar Kobe Bryant is even a shareholder! These athletes KNOW how to keep their body in optimum shape.

Where To Find BODYARMOR LYTE

You can find the new BODYARMOR LYTE SuperDrink at Winn Dixie, Publix, and Wawa. There is even a coupon so you can save money while trying this delicious SuperDrink for yourself!  You can also connect with BODYARMOR on Facebook and Twitter. Thanks for sharing info about Bodyarmor Lyte. I hate that other sports drinks have sooooo many calories. (Some even have HFCS - yikes!) This is one sports drink that I will be looking for at the grocery store.
