If the first week of 2015 is any indication of how the rest of the year is going to go, I am going to need more wine…
First of all, Happy New Year. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and rang in 2015 surrounded by loved ones. We had a nice low key New Years Eve here at the Moscato household. We went to go see Night At The Museum – which was fantastic and super sad at the same time. Robin Williams of course was phenomenal, and I can not lie and say I didn't cry a bit at his last few lines, knowing they were some of the last ones we will ever see on the big screen. After that we had dinner at Cock of the Walk (because they have compliant stuff) and then headed home to play with sparklers. I will admit – no matter how old I get, I still love running through the yard like a fool playing with sparklers.
Then we piled up on the couch with hot chocolate and watched Troop Beverly Hills on Amazon (hey.. its a classic…) until the ball dropped in NYC. I think we were all struggling to stay awake. It was the perfect way to end a perfect year.
New Years Day was of course the Big Games – so Mike and Angie and I headed to Capt'n Funs to watch. Angie and I actually started a round of Whole30 the Monday after Christmas so we drank soda water and lime. With the outcome of both games I have to admit it was difficult not to start throwing back shots… but it was quite comical to watch everyone ELSE throw them back – and get completely hammered. Angie and I had a blast just people watching. And I am going to swear I have never behaved like that intoxicated. And by swear I mean hope…
The seven days since then has been a total whirlwind. Seriously. A whirlwind of running, Zumba, meetings, webinars, more zumba, packing orders (holy wow everyone wants a planner this time of year!) conference calls… and getting really excited about 2015. In seven days I have taken a new position with one of the companies I work with, scheduled speaking engagements all over the country, taken a speaking engagement for a Real Estate Organization (which is totally out of my comfort zone, but hey, isnt that what life is about?) asked to be on local TV, and possibly even landed my own Zumba class. Remember that Zumba certification I did “just for fun”…. yeah, that one.
So anyway, I just wanted to just take a moment to post a “HELLO!!” post before launching back in to everything else I normally talk about. And to say thank you for following and reading my little passion that is MoscatoMom. I have so enjoyed writing and sharing all of the things I love most for three years now, and I am excited to bring you even more in 2015. I have some big goals for this year – including staying WholeLife after Whole30 and doing a Triathlon in October. Yep, you read that right. Go big or go home, right?!?
Here's wishing all of us the absolute most amazing year ever. 🙂
How has your first week of 2015 been?
Oh – and something I discovered over the break – the Songza app. Its fantastic. Today's Happy Pop and 90's Bachelor Pad are probably the two best playlists ever in the history of music.
