Not really, but when Blondie said that I think we all fell out laughing.
On Friday night the crew from Blog Cabin decked out in our best lumberjack attire and headed to the funniest show of the weekend - The Lumberjack Feud. First of all, none of us really knew what to expect... I mean, we saw the pictures of the hot men in flannel wielding chain saws... but how do you turn that into a show?! Ohhh, like only the Lumberjack Feud in Pigeon Forge Tennessee can...
YO HO! Grab your flannel shirt, sharpen your ax, and log roll your way over to the newest Dinner Theatre Show in Pigeon Forge, TN: Lumberjack Feud!!! There you will receive VIP treatment that includes premium dinner seating for an up close and personal view of the feuding lumberjack Dawson and McGraw families. This ain’t your ordinary Pigeon Forge Dinner Theatre song and dance show! The Lumberjack Feud is unlike anything else in town! Taking place in a new 10 million dollar facility, once you enter our arena, for the next 90 minutes you become part of the show! With 10 different logging events you will thrill to the professional ESPN timber athletes as they compete in such areas as axe swinging, log rolling, tree climbing, and chainsaw carving action! And you won’t want to miss seeing the log pulling Draft Horses, the Bears, and high flying TimberDogs. And we round out our show with gut-bustin’, family-friendly comedy, via emcee Ranger Black, and the crazy antics of Camper Bob.
This show began hysterical and has us laughing the entire show. It was actually very kid friendly, and I teared up one time when they pulled a little girl from the audience to "help" and she had little glasses like Midge... I got very very homesick and realized how much I wish I had my family with me to enjoy the show. They even had a wedding proposal (he said he didnt do it right the first time - 25 years ago) happen while we were there that night - it was so sweet.
The food was great - and we had UTENSILS!!! - and an endless supply of sweet tea. We even got a tiny little strawberry shortcake - in a mason jar. Because, I mean... what ELSE would you serve strawberry shortcake in?
After the show we got to take a group photo - and even THAT had is hysterically laughing. Between the "camera man" not being able to work his camera (thank God for Brandy) and Mellisa's "I don't know what to do with my hands!" (shes directly behind the very good looking lumberjack) I was surprised this picture turned out as well as it did -
Joy and I even snuck out for a quick photo opp before the show. We didnt realize how SHORT we were going to look... maybe they ought to offer step stools... or a few lumberjacks to hold us up higher... just a suggestion...trying to be helpful.... *cough*
The Lumberjack Feud was awesome and truly one of the highlights of the entire weekend. The show is advertised as being a show more "for men" but honestly us 34 women had a BLAST - as did the dozens of kids in the audience. It is truly a family show - everyone there enjoyed it.
YO-HO!

We as a family - 6yo son included - enjoyed the show... very exciting. My son and I thought the food was good, just don't expect fine china and wine glasses. The wife wasn't impressed, but my picky son asked for a second helping of mac and cheese and ended up eating his mother's. The show itself was great and educational. They actually played the National Anthem and honored active military and vets - very rare now-a-days. If you can't have fun here, you're just un-American but you can go to the nearby National Forest and hug some trees.

ahh yes, they had the military and vets stand up so we could recognize them, and then we all stood and sang. That was terrific. And funny you say that - the mac & cheese was my favorite part of the meal too! Ha! Smart kid!
