Last month I had the privilege of taking my family for a weekend in Kissimmee Florida to thank them for all of their support this year. See, I took on a lot of work this year - traveling from Las Vegas to Nashville, sometimes gone three out of four weekends a month - and I told the girls that my last trip of the year I would take them somewhere amazing and we would celebrate. And we did just exactly that with the help of Global Resort Homes.
The first step in planning any family vacation is to choose where you are going to stay. Even though the "highlights" of the trip may be your park visits, choosing where you want to spend your downtime is important. Because I have stayed at a Global Resorts Homes property a few times before, there was no question that was the route I was going to go.
Since 1993, Global’s mission is to set a new standard of quality in the Orlando Disney vacation home market and maintained a distinctive level of service for homeowners and their guests. Global has continued to grow and evolve with the changing times and continues to be at the forefront of the vacation home industry in both vacation home rentals and real estate sales. Today, Global’s team of over 50 professionals maintain and manage over 300 resort homes and Global’s Real Estate team consists of over 35 Real Estate professionals. Global’s dedication and commitment to its guests and homeowners remains and will continue to be the very essence of the company.
With our family of four - Myself, Mike, The Teen (14) and Midge (7) - we need space. I love these people... I really do... but not enough to spend five days with them in a hotel room. At a Global Resort Homes property we can all spread out and be completely comfortable and not feel like we are on top of each other. With our house at 2604 Bowring Street in Windsor Hills Resort, we had more than enough space and awesome amenities... in fact Midge asked if we could leave the parks to go back to the pool at the house.
The first day we were there we did nothing... we just enjoyed the house. We arrived pretty late in the evening since we got a late start due to me buying a car literally the day we left, so it was nice to not have to check in at a desk of screaming children, drag our luggage out of the car onto an elevator, search the long hallways for our room, and then "relax" all between the same four walls. Instead we picked up our packet, drove to our house... and walked in the door.
Our weekend was spent bouncing around between Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, and Downtown Disney... followed by relaxing in the pool and hottub each night. I can not put in to words how wonderful it is to come back to a house where you park in the driveway, walk in, and feel like you are right at home. Private pool, private game room, no loud neighbors, no children running in the halls, a full kitchen, four separate showers... seriously this is the only way to stay.
The girls loved the home just as much as Mike and I did. In fact as we were packing to leave we walked around talking about all of the things we loved and want in our new home. From the layout to the decorations, the house was absolutely gorgeous. Check out more about what we loved in this video we made while we were there:
Thank you to everyone at Global Resort Homes for helping us have an amazing family weekend. They are already telling me to book up conferences next Summer so we can celebrate the end of my season again at Global Resort Homes 🙂

It looks very lovely. Were there shuttles to the park, or driving was on your own? And if the latter, how long did it take to drive to Disney? Thank you!

What a wonderful way to vacation. You described my normal hotel check in to a tee--noisy desk, heavy luggage, and ridiculously long hallways. I'd much rather pull up to a gorgeous private home.
Congrats on a successful season.

People always tell me what a great time they have when they stay at a vacation rental rather than a hotel. From your pictures, I can see why. I am going to have to look into this the next time I am traveling.

Love, love, love the little video! You guys are such a good looking family. My favorite part was when the girls were talking about Midge sharing the bed with her older sister. What sweet girls! You can tell they love each other dearly. Awesome house. Sounds like you guys had a wonderful family vacation.
