According to the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF), students who go without the school supplies they need struggle with self-esteem and perform worse in school than students with adequate supplies. That is why Scotties Tissues has partnered up with KINF - the Kids In Need Foundation - to help kids get #ReadySetSchool by donating a backpack filled with school supplies to a kid in need (up to 1,400 backpacks total) for every video created and shared on social media (Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook) using the hashtag #ReadySetSchool.

Here at Scotties, we know it’s the little things in life that matter. Every child, no matter what their circumstances, should have the supplies they need to help them be engaged in learning. Pencils, crayons and paper may seem inconsequential to the learning process, but for a child in need, they can make a world of difference.
Like Scotties, we think every kid deserves to go to school with everything they need to succeed, so we were excited to join in and do our part. Here is Midge talking about what she would add to every child's backpack to help them have a great day at school.
Ready to do your part too? Now through September 6th, simply grab your phone or video camera and record a quick video asking your kids: “If you could put one thing in a backpack and then give it to a kid who needed help getting through the school day, what would that one thing be and why?” Then upload to your favorite social media outlet and use the hashtag #ReadySetSchool - you can even tag your friends and ask them to get involved too like I did! This is a great way to start off the school year right by getting your kids involved in helping other kids in need.

This week Scotties® facial tissues by Royale® surprised the students of Town and Country Elementary School in Tampa, Florida with much-needed school supplies. The school is a Title 1, Renaissance School with over 400 students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. “We are so excited to have backpacks and school supplies donated for our students,” said teacher, Lori Caro. “New supplies always motivate students. They want to take them out, and start using them to learn!"
You can help other schools just like Town And Country Elementary School by recording your video and using the hashtag #ReadySetSchool today!
