With Mary's wedding just three weeks away (enter sounds of screeching stress here) it seems most everything we talk about has something to do with that day. Flowers, pictures, caterer, DJ… I am not sure if Wally and his Best Man are this busy, but I can tell you Mary is going to need to sleep for a week after this is all over.
One of the things she has had to do is choose his wedding ring. Since her ring is set in white gold, I recommended a Tungsten ring for him, since it withstands more of a beating than gold does and still looks fabulous. We hopped online and Googles “mens tungsten rings” where we found MensTungstenOnline.com.
Tungsten is a metallic chemical element classified among the transition metals of the periodic table of elements. It is well known for its strength and durability, which make it extremely useful in a wide range of industrial applications. Some consumers also own products which contain tungsten or were produced with tungsten. The world's major sources of this element are Russia, Austria, China, and Portugal, where it is extracted from minerals such as scheelite and wolframite.
A couple of our favorites:
I think what is so appealing about Mens Tungsten Rings is that they are very masculine and are heavier than gold bands. Plus since tungsten is virtually indestructible and scratch proof – they will look this gorgeous forever.
Tungsten rings are the most wear resistant rings available on the planet.
Tungsten is about 10 times harder than 18K Gold, 5 times harder than tool steel, and 4 times harder than titanium.
Tungsten measures between 8 and 9 on the Mohs hardness scale. (Diamonds are a 10 – the highest.)
Due to their extreme hardness, Tungsten Rings will hold their shape and shine longer than any ring on the market.
Tungsten rings have been referred to as the “Permanently Polished Rings”.
Tungsten rings will NOT bend.
And did you notice the price?! You can't get much better than that!
Mary decided on a tungsten carbide wedding ring… but of course I cant tell you WHICH on the off chance Wally reads this blog. (waving… just in case!) But I know he is going to love it!
