This past weekend I had the pleasure of joining a bunch of my girlfriends for a Girlfriend Getaway to Orlando, Florida for the “Package Tour” featuring Boys2Men, 98*, and New Kids On The Block. It.Was.Amazing. Absolutely the best vacation I have ever had. EVER. And that is saying a lot, considering I travel for both business and pleasure just about every other week. In fact I am actually gone more days than I am home over the next six weeks traveling from Atlanta to Tampa to Minnesota to Las Vegas.
I got tired just thinking about all of that.
When I travel I take a ridiculous amount of stuff – including literally thousands of dollars worth of technology – which I agonize and worry about the entire time I am traveling until I see it is safe. From my brand new Surface Pro to my AC Projector to my Touch Screen Asus Laptop…. yes, I worry the entire time.
WordLock, one of the #1 selling combination locks, sent me a travel lock to test out on my Girlfriend Getaway. The humorous thing was that the lock came in the day before I left, with “Pack Soon” already displayed… humorous because it was like even WordLock knows I wait until the last minute to finally pack.
When you’re travelling, you have plenty to keep track of. The last thing you want on your mind is luggage security. From the bag check to the taxi, from the five-star hotel to the…um…one-star hotel, WordLock has you covered. Just pick a four-letter word that’s easy to remember and hit the road. (For Vegas, we recommend “LUCK”! Chicago? Hmm…“WIND.”) Our luggage locks are easy to read and easy to set.
I love that not only can I set my own combination, but that I can change it any time I want to as well. This weekend we stayed at a Condo that had a pre-selected combination, and there were many humorous moments trying to remember our house combination and getting locked out for a few minutes every time we entered it wrong. (There may have been wine involved during these moments….) Also remembering WORDS is so much easier than numbers – don’t we already ave enough numbers to try to remember anyway? From social security numbers to student IDs to Account numbers… blah. Gimme words. I am much better with words.
WordLock Luggage Locks are also Travel Sentry Approved, meaning TSA will not cut your lock off your luggage. Remember back in the day when every suitcase had a lock on it? Yeah, those days are gone. WordLock Travel Locks can pass through TSA screening stations with no hassle – a blessing when you are on the red eye flight just trying to stay awake.
