Any time I post a picture of The Teen and I, I get comments that we are “twins” and there is “no denying” she is mine. It’s true, all of the women in my family are pretty much clones of one another. My mother and I were the exact same way – in fact there have been numerous times where I have been approached by someone who thought I was my mother. (We’re going to say that she looks closer to 30 and that it isn’t me looking closer to 50, mkay?)
Ever since The Teen was a little girl I have taught her the importance of great hair care. As a Teen of the 90’s myself (Sun-In and Lemon Juice anyone!?) I ruined my hair many times over trying to get “the perfect look.” It took me years to learn that great hair care along with great products is the secret to great hair. But it doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. You don’t have to spend like a celebrity to look like one. Thanks to Tresemmé® and Dollar General, you can get all of the looks you want for less. You can rock your own unique style and beauty, while keeping within budget.
This weekend The Teen attended her Homecoming Dance and unlike my high school dance days, her hair is so thick and healthy and beautiful, she and my niece fixed her hair right in here her
messy room, with no need to go to the salon. A few curls, a few spritzes of hair spray, and she was good to go.
Whether you are going to Homecoming or just heading to school or work, you can save money and still have great hair. Check out the Tresemme Style Gallery for more ideas for how to keep your locks looking healthy and beautiful every day. You can also tweet with me and share your beauty tips using #DGStyleTips.
