What do you get when you put some of the best restaurants next to the best night clubs connected to the best theme park? You get Universal Orlando's CityWalk - THE place to go for amazing Nightlife at Universal Orlando.
Every day that I was in Orlando for the FacingFearsTogether trip I spent some time at CityWalk - whether it was to grab a bite to eat, do some shopping for the girls, or have a couple several lot of cocktails. Though CityWalk is family friendly by day - sporting a cool putt putt golf arena and movie theater - at night it goes to the adults with live bands, killer night clubs and great restaurants. Our first night there Mickey and I dined at Margaritaville where you absolutely must try the friend cheese curds dipped in ranch dressing. Yes, I totally abandoned Whole30 for this little indulgence - and it was amazing. We then went to Pat O'Briens and watched the dueling pianos for a while. And you know - to sample the cocktails... just to make sure they were safe for everyone... we are thoughtful like that.
The next day before heading to Halloween Horror Nights, the girls and I all grabbed dinner at Moe's upstairs at CityWalk. We didn't have time for a sit down meal (because we waited till the last minute to get out of the lazy river at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort) so Moe's was perfect for something quick and easy and tasty. There was plenty of room to sit even with our large crowd before heading off for a night of being terrified.
The following night we all dined together at Antojitos Authentic Mexican Restaurant. It was delish. I abandoned my Whole30 again for this one - and enjoyed every bite. I even made room for dessert.
Then it was off to enjoy the nightlife. We landed at The Groove... and never left. The DJ was killin it with dance songs from the last like 15 years. I was so thankful I did not wear heels that night - because me and the girls stayed on the dance floor until the lights came on. It's been a long, long, LONG time.
CityWalk is the perfect place to spend your nights after long days at the Park. There is everything you need on that 30 acre lot - and even more being built! Whether you are looking to relax and watch a live concert, sip wine on a romantic date, or dance until your feet hurt - CityWalk has the perfect place for you. AND - an added bonus - if you are staying on one of Universal Orlando's resort properties like Cabana Bay Beach Resort - you even have a designated driver! The Cabana Bay Beach Resort bus runs until the wee hours of the morning to get you back to the hotel safely. They even had hot fresh pizza waiting on everyone when we arrived. Can't beat that!
*Accommodations for CityWalk and Cabana Bay Beach Resort were included as part of the FacingFearsTogether press event.
