When I completed my first whole30 I was ecstatic - for two reasons. One, I had amazing results and felt better than I could ever remember feeling before. And two, I was going to get to reintroduce some of my favorites that I had missed so much! One of those items was ranch dressing. Now, being from the South, ranch dressing is a staple - and we put it on everything. Salads, vegetables, grilled chicken - you name it - you can put ranch on it. However, I did not want to go back to my old ways of eating since I felt so good, so I set off to find the perfect whole30 compliant ranch dressing.

whole30 ranch dressing

During my whole30 this dressing was an absolute staple in my house - but now that I am living more of a Ketogenic Lifestyle I am beyond excited that my beloved Whole30 Ranch is low carb too! While I may not be dipping carrots in it much anymore, I absolutely pour it on my salads, Keto Pizza and Keto Chicken Tacos!! And of course this is a must have for my Keto Pizza Chips which are the perfect low carb snack! You can use my Whole30 Mayo Recipe or Duke's Mayo is a great premade alternative that you can find at your local grocer. Both will taste absolutely delicious!

So without further ado, here is my favorite ranch dressing recipe ever.

Whole30 Ranch Dressing Recipe: Total Game Changer

Whole30 Ranch Dressing Recipe: Total Game Changer

Yield: 12
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Additional Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes

This whole30 Ranch Dressing is a total game changer. Better than any bottled ranch you have ever had, this will go on literally everything!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup whole30 mayo
  • 1 teaspoon dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a nice large measuring cup pour 1 cup of coconut milk. Then spoon in whole30 mayo until liquid level reaches two cups.
  2. Add in spices and whisk well. Cover and let chill in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Enjoy!
  3. *Tip: experiment with coconut milks – some have a stronger coconut flavor than others. The milder the coconut flavor, the tastier your ranch will be!

Sounds delish! I am really trying to find a ranch recipe that I love, as a fellow ranch lover. Can you recommend a coconut milk that doesn't have strong coconut flavor? I really don't want to taste coconut in my ranch!

Hey Kelly! I use the Iberia brand - I get it at Publix - it's in a blue can in the international foods section ๐Ÿ™‚

Check the ingredients to make sure there are not hidden sugars, and I believe you can. IF you are trying to be whole30 that is. Even though I am not following the plan, this is still my go to ranch -its THAT good! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for stopping by!

My teenage daughters and I started the Whole30 plan today. We have chronic Lyme disease and are hoping the plan will help us. I made mayo and clarified butter this morning. Next MUST have is ranch dressing! Can't wait to try it! Thank you for posting!

YAY!! The whole experience was life changing for me - as cliche as that sounds. Hang in there - the first week is tough - but if you can push through you will feel AMAZING. And yes - even when I am not in a w30 round I still only use this Ranch Dressing. Nothing comes close to how good it tastes now! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hello Lynsey, I am on my first W30 after doing Warrior. Like you, I am a RANCH Lover. I have no problem with coocnut milk since i grew up cooking with it. My question though is once you made a batch, how long will it last refrigerated? (not that it will last in MY household, but just in case friends requested some, what do i tell them?)

    Thanks.

Hey Rose!! CONGRATS on Warrior AND jumping on Whole30! That is awesome! As for the ranch - from what I understand you want to consume by the date of the EGGS that you used in your mayo. So if you are using my Whole30 Mayo recipe for instance, you want to keep in mind the date of the eggs you used. Otherwise I would go by the expiration date of your mayo. I believe the only thing that really "goes bad" possibly is the eggs. I *have* had my ranch separate and look a little watery, but I have never had it go bad - like you we always ate it too fast! Ha! ๐Ÿ™‚

I always go by the dates of the eggs I used for the mayo. Sometimes it will separate a bit - you can just shake the jar and it should be fine. I've never had it longer than I week because I use it on EVERYTHING lol

I'm new to Whole30 and I'm still trying to figure out what I can and can't eat! So you can have coconut milk?

Check the ingredients but yes MOST of them are ok. Many have guar gum in them which the Hartwigs actually say is ok - it is a thickening agent. Just make sure they do not have added sugar ๐Ÿ™‚ GOOD LUCK!

How long will this ranch last in the fridge (assuming it doesn't get eaten before going bad)

This ranch is exactly what I was looking for. The other Whole 30 compliant recipes I have tried all had red wine vinegar as an ingredient, and I was never thrilled with the taste. Thanks for this!

Rule of thumb from what I have heard is to go by the expiration date on the eggs that you used for the mayo ๐Ÿ™‚ Mine never got even CLOSE to that old before I had eaten it all so I am not sure.

I use the Iberia brand... I do not think it is coconutty at all. It is in a light blue can in the international foods section at my Publix. It has Guar Gum in it as a thickening agent but Melissa has said it is compliant. The stuff in the red can (Thai something maybe?) is VERY coconutty!
