A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to get the best hair extensions in Pensacola - and I could not be more in love with them!
Colorist Jodi Smith saw my story about dealing with basal cell carcinoma this year and struggling with my self-esteem with this scar on my face. She wanted to help me feel better about my appearance with long, thick, beautiful hair - and I was stoked to give it a try!
Jodi uses Natural Beaded Row Extensions or "NBR" for short, an exclusive hair extension method where real hair is woven in using a unique bead and string technique. There is no glue or tape, and you are in and out in less than 3 hours!
The results are gorgeous, long-lasting hair extensions which can add length and volume to any type of hair.
NBR is less damaging to your hair than other hair extension methods and hides better underneath your natural hair. Even as thin as my hair is, no tracks were visible and I had to tell people it wasn't my real hair! How cool is that?!
The first step is to visit JodiSmithColorist.com and fill out the pre-consultation form. From there you will meet with Jodi to learn all about the extensions and their care and for her to color match your hair to the extensions. I went with the 18" length - go big or go home right!?
From there you set the appointment to have them placed. It takes just a
Now I must warn you, the first few days with NBR Hair Extensions feel pretty tight - so I would recommend if you are getting wedding hair or hair for a big event that you do have them put in at least a week in advance.
The upkeep is more than I am used to - but still very simple. Since NBR Extensions are real hair, you can style them with your normal styling products and tools just like your real hair!
Jodi uses Bohyme Luxe Hand Tied Hair made from 100% Remi premium human hair which is full from root to tip.
You will want to deep condition your Natural Beaded Row Hair once a week and braid them at night to avoid tangles. Plus the braid gives you pretty waves the next day without having to style it! Total win-win.
The upkeep is pretty simple too - just like how you color your hair every 8 weeks or so, you have your NBR Extensions "refreshed" and sewn back in. You can change the color and style just as if they were your very own hair!
I loved how thick and full my hair was, and how easy it was to style. My hair is terrible about holding a curl, but these extensions would hold even corkscrew curls for days!
