Ever since Brandaction: Global Getaway, the "theme" for Brandcation has been ADVENTURE. From ziplining through the Smokey Mountains to parasailing on the Gulf Coast to hanging with alligators in the swamps of Central Florida - we have always done something adventurous. When we booked the sixth Brandcation - SeasTheDay with Royal Caribbean - we immediately set out to find the most adventurous excursion we could find... and boy did we ever.
Xplor is a natural adventure park located in the Riviera Maya, very close to Cancun. Discover new sensations by flying over treetops with our 14 zip lines, driving an amphibious vehicle on trails that run through the jungle as well as inside caves; swim in the underground river surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites; and take an exciting raft ride paddling with your hands while wondering at the rock formation process created by nature millions of years ago.
Ten of us decided to go to XPLOR - the largest group for any one excursion - and we all had an absolute blast. As soon as we arrived we broke up in to groups - because I have been ziplining so many times before, I wanted to experience everything else first... including the buffet. Hey, aren't you supposed to eat everything in sight when you are on a cruise? It's in the rules somewhere I am sure... The entire day was spent riding ATVs, eating, paddling rafts around stalagmites (or stalactites - whatever) eating, swimming through underground caves, and eating. It was everything an excursion should be!
The cost of the XPLOR excursion is $185 and includes your transportation to and from the ship as well as all of the attractions at the park and the unlimited buffet. When you get there you are assigned a locker for your belongings and a numbered helmet which you have to wear throughout the whole park. The helmet has both a number and a GPS chip in it - which is both for safety and for their awesome photo service which takes pictures of you literally all over the park.
The only downside to XPLOR is the travel time - it took us over an hour and a half to get from the ship to the park. But once we got there, it was worth it. I did purchase the photo package which was another $109 I believe - but again - I totally thought that was worth it as well. Some of the pictures are absolutely hysterical.
If you are looking for an excursion in Cozumel that will be an experience of a lifetime - I highly recommend checking our XPLOR. You can book the excursion right through your Royal Caribbean Account. The park is beautiful, the food is awesome, the attractions are super fun - and you will walk so much you will have zero guilt about anything you eat for the rest of your vacation.
Seriously.
Disclosure: I paid full price for this excursion - and it was worth every penny.
